First-Time Setup
For pianos not tuned in the last two years
This service is designed for pianos that have gone an extended period without professional attention — a common occurrence in a dry, high-altitude climate like Colorado's. Pianos in this condition typically require more extensive work to bring pitch and tuning back to a stable, proper state. The First-Time Setup restores the piano to concert pitch (A440) in a way built to hold, typically lasting six months to one year. Once complete, standard tunings are all that is needed going forward, provided tuning intervals of six months to one year are maintained.

This service is designed for pianos already on a regular maintenance schedule. Because the piano has been recently tuned, only fine adjustments are needed to keep it sounding its best and holding pitch accurately. Standard Tuning is recommended every six months to one year to maintain the piano's condition and prevent the more extensive work required by a First-Time Setup.
